【本報多倫多訊】昨天聖誕節，教堂的鐘聲在多倫多各處敲響。不少來自華人新移民昨天走進教堂，他們不僅到教堂做彌撒，而且也到教堂尋求關愛和幫助。教會，成為許多新移民在此安居樂業的第一塊踏板。 位於士嘉堡、北約克的多家華人基督教會在聖誕節期間都安排許多活動。內容包括牧師講經、唱讚美詩、文藝表演、聚餐等。數百位新移民參加了這些活動。他們中不少人是第一次在加拿大過聖誕節。 年初從福建移民來的姜妍昨天說，在國內時就聽人說加拿大的教會樂意幫助人。來多倫多以後，她便留意華人教會的情況。 前不久，碰到本地華人基督教教會的教友，一番交談後，雙方都有緣分的感覺，於是她成為此教會的一員。 當聖誕節臨近，姜妍的心情即好奇也有一點恐懼。因為是第一次在加拿大過聖誕節，他很想知道北美人怎樣過這個一年中西方最大節日的；但由於自己在這裡無親無故，認識的人有限，在喜慶的節日裡也難免備加寂寞。 幸好教會的朋友安排了豐富的活動。平安夜裡，教會有演出、聚餐，之後大家到教友家聚會、聊天；聖誕節，大家又到教會聽講經，然後聚會交流。姜妍與許多新來的移民都覺得這個聖誕過得充實又快樂。 在教會做義工多年的趙力峰表示，新移民初來乍到，他們在多倫多的各方面都需要人幫助。加上絕大部分新移民在此都沒有親人，因此一旦碰到不順利的情況，很容易出現情緒波動。 他說，教會的工作就是幫助這些新移民度過難關，從而適應加拿大的生活。另一位教會義工陸淑芬也認為，教會是一個大家庭，有助於新移民排遣寂寞。 在士嘉堡華堅華人基督教教會有一個大陸組，成員有超過百人，大多為來加定居在三年之內的新移民。 在聖誕節，此教會大陸組的成員也像往年一樣聚在一起，每家人帶來自己做的一、兩味家鄉風味菜點，大家圍坐在一起，邊吃邊談，氣氛熱鬧而又親近。 組裡的成員年年有所不同，有的新移民工作生活穩定後，就不再來參加活動了（抽按：醒目！  ）；但總是又有新的移民加入進來。 2007-12-26 http://www.worldjournal.com/wj-to-news.php?nt_seq_id=1645218 | |
蓋天有不測風雲，人有旦夕禍福，居安思危 -- (居安思危，思則有備，有備無患 《左傳‧襄公十一年》) 今雖工作生活穩定，但難保日後不會lay off，如果工作生活穩定後，就不再來參加活動，則好易被教友睇穿您係利用教會的network揾著數，一旦要再揾第份工，便很可能得不到教友的熱心協助。所以，只係「有的」新移民工作生活穩定後，就不再來參加活動，而有的更醒目新移民工作生活穩定後，就仍会再來參加活動 | |
in my own humble opinion , the most 醒目 is 'the churches , they'r much more 醒目 + creative than my guestimation , >>>> 人在異鄉倍思親 >>>> 做彌撒、聽講經和鄉親聚會交流…… >>>> 聖誕節初體驗好溫馨 >>>> 人在異鄉倍思親 they do really know where'r 'the ``markets" , + , they do 'the caterring just great , no such thing or even concept in buddhism nor taoism e.t.c. i cant help but must admit : ::::: the churches -----> 醒目 very 醒目  [ 本帖最後由 prussianz 於 2008-1-8 01:04 編輯 ] | |

假如真的一旦被lay off，到時就扮哂內疚咁，話以前疏於返教會是罪，貪於逸樂，以後都勤力返教會，七情上面，牧師一定會心軟既（唔心軟都要扮心軟  ）。 | |
